Beulah Grove Campground Bathhouse
Saint Mary's, Ohio
Scope: Prepared a master plan for the camp focusing on the Tabernacle, Food Hall/Kitchen, Dormitory, and main Bathhouse. Reviewed the overall camp flow and determined the optimal location for the new Bathhouse. Worked with the
committee to develop the Program of Requirements (POR) to best serve the camp and provided design options that connect the Dormitory, Tabernacle, and new Bathhouse.
The new Bathhouse includes two separate ADA Family Restrooms, each complete with a private shower, lavatory, and water closet, and features a covered porch connecting to the Tabernacle. The Men’s Restroom contains five private showers with separate drying/changing areas, three water closets, three urinals, and six lavatories. The Women’s Restroom includes six private showers with separate drying/changing areas, five water closets, five lavatories, and one baby washing sink.
Finishes were selected to maximize durability and maintainability, addressing the site’s hard water issues that previously caused staining. Epoxy flooring, epoxy-painted masonry walls, and fiberglass shower enclosures were specified for ease of cleaning. The entire Bathhouse is ducted for heating, with provisions in place for the owner to add air conditioning in the future as funds allow.
