SCOPE: New Service Building: Criteria Architect for a new 15,750 SF Service Building with 3,250 SF covered outside storage and 96 SF awning over entry doors. Building provides storage space for vehicles, products and equipment used by the maintenance crew and two ADA restrooms. Restrooms are heated and have exterior door access for community members using the walking path around the sports fields or for those attending sporting events. Door access card readers provided to allow the facility and restrooms to be secured remotely. New building is located adjacent to the existing Maintenance Building with utility easement between the buildings. Asphalt paving around entire perimeter which provides paved areas for the District’s maintenance staff. Covered Storage space on east provides salt bin storage along with covered storage for trailers and equipment that doesn’t need to be inside.

Parking Lot Expansion: Provided architectural and civil engineering services to expand the parking lot for the District. Scope included traffic flow studies for students, staff and events. The existing parking lot was milled, restriped and re-designed to improve parking and safety with new traffic flow pattern. New parking has added a net 200 parking spaces for students, staff and the community during school activities/sporting events. Existing EXIT drive omitted, and a new EXIT drive was provided at the north end of the parking lot. Driveway approach is extra wide to allow semi-truck deliveries during the day and for buses to maneuver the parking lot when spaces are fully occupied. Retaining Pond at north engineered and installed for proper storm water management of the parking lot and new building.
